Install problem with 'esfpatchb123.exe'

i've downloaded the patch to upgrade from my old 1.2 file to the latest 1.3, and when i get to the part where you choose your folder i cant press install, it auto detects where i have my steam installed etc. and ive tried pointing it elsewhere just to see if it will install at all, which it wont. i've also tried re-downloading the patch which wont fix it either. the only thing i can think of is downloading the whole 1.3 client, if i have to, i guess i will but first i want to see if theres anything else i can do. here's a screenshot to see what i mean:

basically it just wont allow me to click the install button. thnx for any help in advance.

Try the part about running Half-Life 1 once before trying to install.

ah ha, that did it. sorry i didnt see that bit thanks for pointing it out. i just re-installed half-life 1 so yeah looks that that did the trick. thanks for the help.
