instal on steam!?!

Can anybody help me with how i instal ESF on steam i cant get it to work, im glad fo the help i can get.

folow theese steps:
1.) Get STEAM
2.) Install STEAM
3.) Make an account
4.) register your HL1 CD key with your STEAM account
5.) Install HL1 (you can download it throo STEAM)
6.) Run HL1 (just start the training level and than go out again)
7.) Get ESF 1.2.3 full installer
8.) Install ESF to where it says (default always works)
9.) Run ESF
10.) have fun

ESF dosent work with CS : CZ and CS : S

won't work with either
on steam you need half-life ( the steam half-life version, not seperated )
so what won't start, I mean explain the problem alittle better!

Please check the sticky's before you ask questions, this saves everyone from alot of extra work

Look if you have the retail CS 1.6 version you can download HL throo STEAM directly

if you have CS : CZ or CS : S you cant get HL 1 with out buying it
