hi i downloaded this game without sdteam on my standalone hl1 it works perfect but when i want to play on line i cant there are no servers? i downloaded the dedicated server so where i put it? in the esf folder i did it sais could not find i tried in hl folder asswel and didn't help ... plsanswer soon

Unfortunately (fortunate to some), WON no longer exists as it was shutdown some time ago. Though if you have the older versions of ESF (pre 1.2) then they can work without Steam, but they won't work online. ESF 1.2 and later will only work with Steam.

You can probably still play LAN games though WON is officially dead. ESF has to be built around Steam and by doing so, makes Steam a requirement. You won't however be able to play online without Steam.

If you are then I don't know what else I could say since it was said numerous times that WON is dead/shutdown.
