I need your help

When i want to play a game on a server it says This server has a different protocol. and that messg comes whith every server even in the normal half life

Plz i need some advice

Update half life to version 1.1.1.0 .

when i use the halflife updater i cant go higher then 1.1.0.8..
where can i get 1.1.1.0 ?
