Why I can't install ESF 1.2.3?

Install Half Life 1 through STEAM, run Half Life 1, install ESF, restart STEAM. ^^

Thats all you need to do.

And yes. STEAM + a legally bought Half Life 1 are necessary.

This game is called a "Modification" for a reason. It "modifies" the original game which is Half-Life thus you need Half-Life to play this game. It's not stupid, it's plain obvious. You can't expect every game to be free. Welcome to the real world.

And Viper, relax please. Regardless of the person's intentions, there is no need for insults.

3yosef3. Half-Life 1 is only around 10 dollars and it has been mentioned in the forum rules and in the post you've been forwarded when you registered on the forums that you need Half-Life in order to play this game. If you have missed that, then you obvious don't read very well. And since you haven't read them, let me know that we don't support people who are not using steam. Once you have bought steam you can request support. Or if you wish to post threads/replies that are non-ESF related here on the forums.. You are welcome to do so.
