i need help

every time i try to play esf on lan (with bots). my half-life (and esf mod) shut down. its a little anoying and i wanna get rid of the problem

can some1 help me?

Only on lan games? Can you join net games alright? I haven't ever heard of this before, but you might try selecting Direct3D/OpenGL if your video card supports it. Maybe try disabling EAX/Aureal 3D sound if your sound card doesn't support those features.
