I just want to play with bots but.....

How do i do it??
Coz i tried the manual to do it but it doesn't work

I click on esf, went on multiplayer (or whatever), click lan game and create game
I clicked ok
And then it come up with all this like coding and it came up with an error and wouldn't start!

plz help me

Are you using 1.2.3 with Steam? If so just press "=" and use the menu.

Install Steam, install Half-Life, run Half-Life, install ESF 1.2.3, play.

If someone has your CD-Key, you will have to buy another one.

You need Steam. End of story.

Disconnect your internet, then load Steam, it should ask you to play online or offline.

that wont work. Steam neads to download some stuff in order to be able to play offline. And with out an account it wont work.

You have 2 options:

1: youu buy a new HL1
2: you keep trying WON and hope to get luckey once

It says my esf excutable is out of date would u like to update it
i click ok and then esf goes off and this box comes up
It is checking for updates but then it days mine half life is up to date

dont try to play online with WON it dosent work

In the main menu choose multiplayer than lan games and create games

that should do it

if you click on internet games it will always do that cause WON died

I'm on a laptop, so I can just pull out my internet cable whenever.

What I did was, when I still used WON and was too lazy to use Steam, I would just pull out my internet cable and fire up ESF as normal. It will then say that it cannot connect to the WON servers, but you can still go on to make a server with bots.

However, the current ESF versions are built to work with Steam, not WON. You will likely encounter many bugs et cetera while playing with WON. If even just for that, I would recommend using Steam.

For one, I am not Magus.

For two, ESF is designed to work with Steam. That's just how it is. WON is not reliable and as such you should not be telling people to use it.

Thirdly, He has a CD-Key, he claims someone is using it. If that is the case, he is quite capable of purchasing another key.

Anyhow i know WON is bad and has lots of bugs. But if he dosent want to buy a new game hell have to use it.

Grega, just so you know he doesn't have to buy a new HL1. He needs to go to steam and purchase a new CD Key. Which is much cheaper then going to the store and buying a new game. About 10 dollars roughly.

Also If you know that someone is "using" your cd key. Get it back. Or have them give you their account. This is why you don't give out things like this. Because of this you have three choices. 1. You go to steam at www.steampowered.com and purchase a new Key for $10. 2. You go to the store and buy a new half life for $20. 3. Don't play at all.
