The graphics looks 100x more polished than let's say, Budokai 1.

Sigh.. it's the same game we've seen 4 times before. Unless they change the formula drastically, my typical reaction to "another DBZ fighting game" is a huge facepalm.

I actually enjoyed the first Budokai, and somewhat enjoyed the second Budokai game. Then, I watched a demo of Budokai 3 and realized that the fights were 90% minigames/cutscene abuse... taking just about all the fun or challenge out of it. At this point they're just being ridiculous with minute updates requiring a full game release every year... as if it's a sports game. There is absolutely no strategy to these games... they might as well be amusement park rides. I mean you're watching most of the damage instead of inputing it.

I have not given into the "Make new DBZ game every year trap", I am renting this game because I think it will still be enjoyable but not buyable.

It seems the developers *think* they are creating an indepth fighting system. The tutorial is lengthy because of the choice you can make while fighting, but problem is NONE OF IT is satisfying. It looks cool the first time but it feels so canned that it becomes stale. Knocking opponent in to the sky and then chasing them to slam them down to follow up with a kamehameha is boring. Do that in ESF, it feels much more satisfying because you're not on rails. You are not constantly targeted to one figure, essentially putting blinders to the rest of the environment.

I want them to keep making DBZ games because we haven't gotten to the perfect one yet. With the current technology of consoles, widespread destructible objects with pretty energy blasts should not be a problem. They just so afraid to change the formula which is the **only** kudos I can give DBZ: Sagas for attempting something like that.

..duh D:, Budokai 1 came out in 2002 whereas Raging Blast 2 is coming out at the end of this year. A lot has changed over the course of 8 years.

Erm, that might be sarcasm.
As for Raging blast, it's console exclusive and even if it were on the PC, I'd rather play ESF (which I'm not).
Budokai 3 is the best DBZ game IMHO.

That was sort of the joke... the graphics changed, but the game hasn't. :p

AS YOU CAN SEE WE RENAMED THE CHARGE METER TO A RAGE METER... IT'S A RAGING BLAST NOW! AMAZING!

If you like Budokai 3 Then you would love Burst Limit. The only thing Transformation does in Burst Limit = Gives a new Move set. Everthing = Balanced completely.
This is how it fights:

I remember in a chat when you said you regretted buying Burst Limit.

I feel your frustration.
Yeah, worst 60 bucks I spent in a long time. I'll try another DBZ fighting game in a year or two... or five.
