I cant get ESF to work

every time i try to load up ESF it either says it can't find C:\SIERRA\HALF-LIFE\ESFORCES\../HL.EXE' or it comes up with this 'open with' thing and anything I try to open it with doesen't work why wont it work? I've tried every thing I can think of.

You probably need halflife to run esforces, I doubt it'd run on blue shift.

I'm fairly sure that you can buy a retail version of Blue shift. Just as yo can CS. But I don't know if ESF would run on Blue Shift.

I suggest just buying half-life. It's the same price, if not cheaper, than all the retail mods and then you can download and play any mod you want for free.
