That would be perfect. I mean I guess we should have a vote on it just to maybe put it out there to see what happens.

I'd like an 18+ sub-forum section, it would be like a more liberal version of the Force Pit. It wouldn't matter who gains access, it's impossible to filter out these naughty kids nowadays, their exposure to sensitive content is rightly their fault and responsibility. I don't know about you guys, but I was pretty curious when I was 12 and I've seen some fuzzed up **** back in the dayz... lol

Anyways, about the weed... Sicron is right about the current state of generalized hypocrisy regarding marijuana. Hell, I'm an experienced user, and let me tell you scared and suspicious folk, that its effects are no big deal... side effects being only sleep, hunger, laughter, and a general sense of tranquility, which allows more fluid and unbiased free thinking. The only reason I think marijuana is actually illegal is because a capitalist society cant have slackers thinking outside the box; most people tend to think of marijuana as a productivity killer, this is a lie. "Legal" drugs used for depression, like Metropolol, have so many nasty side effects that its quite incredible to think people choose (because they choose) these mind-altering death pills over a natural, living breathing plant... lol...
It's true!

Sky can permaban me for being a marihuana smoker now.

Like censoring news on a DBZ forum will stop young children from finding it out on various news sites. There is nothing wrong with a discussion about drugs, as long as we do not actively (or passively) try to get young children to use drugs.

I can understand closing threads about people saying they do tons of drugs and such, but I'm not seeing what's exactly wrong with the discussion of them. I don't smoke, nor do I even really care about marijuana, but I think it's silly that threads even related to the substance gets closed.

To clear it up. The host said no drug discussions at all, so we have to follow suit.

THe AUP hasnt been correctly updated yet, and for that you can blame sky ^^

Also important to note, when the host of the website asks you to remove content, you do need to follow their wishes. Host concerns are covered under the Terms of Service, not the AUP, which may not be immediately viewable, however the Senior Staff will discuss availability of the TOS and perhaps another update to the AUP to cover the concerns of the TOS.

As far as the discussion of War and Religion, which we have been allowing; as long as these coversations remain civil, we will allow them to continue on unabated.

An 18+ forum would have been impossible to implement and enforce, as it would be strictly under an honor system, under the older forum software, but may be viable now with the group system. I will look into it and make a recommendation to the host and the senior staff.

Thank you. It would be a joy to have the 18+ Forums for discussion of many things we wouldn't want kids to see. Even still if it is 18+ that doesn't mean go around spamming porn everywhere.

I know but at least I know we have been acknowledged a chance for it, even if it be slim to none.

Then you miss the point of of a 18+ place.

I don't see the relation between an 18+ section and the hosts not wanting us to talk about marijuana.

Grega and Cuc are quite correct. This is not a matter of hypocrisy, but, merely, a matter of the AUP not being updated to reflect something that was brought to light by our host after the last version of the AUP was submitted and posted. Ie: the AUP is out of date. By extension, the "Condensed Forum Rules" page, which is, simply, a summary of the AUP, is also outdated.

As far as more "mature" topics go (specifically, the aforementioned political and war-based threads, as well as, unfortunately, the "pedophile book" thread), we have been intentionally lenient for quite a long time, now, because of the generally low activity here, as well as the fact that the regular userbase here is maturing. We have not specifically ruled these threads out because they are subject to our interpretation of the AUP. This stands in stark contrast to the linked marijuana threads which the host has, clearly, decided not to permit. Whether or not that is deemed fair, this person is the host. He requires neither our permission or our approval in ensuring that we adhere to the TOS. We simply just have to adhere to the TOS. That's all there is to it.
