How to Play on Lan

Hello,
I've got one Problem with ESF

I have the Counter-Strike 1.6 Lan version, with Half Life

So, if i Install ESF on this, it works great, too, but if i want to play only LAN, I'm getting an Error when I will join A server in our Lan, something with Steam! Can anybody help me?

Need more infomation, what does the error say for starters?.

EDIT: Oh and btw, is this a purchased copy of hl/cs (or is it what i'm thinknig of).

For Starters of the Server nothing, but for Someone who will join, i have to look for it!

You mean the Can't find executable steam.exe error.

But id say to fix it get STEAM ^^
