i just went and spent £100 on a geforce 4 mx 420 unsure wether i have a pci slot. my pc is about 2 years old and when i brought it, it was brand new and the bloke in-store said my motherboard should be fine. But before i go and open it etc.. etc... is there a way to find out if my motherboard has a pci slot without having to pull the pc apart? thanks for any answers

open the case and check thats the only way. you probably have 1 or 2 free from the sounds of it.

However checxk the back and if you have alot of those metal slots that have nothing in them it shoudl mean youhave some free but your board can also be very small and not need those slots
