I'm no great modeler but not to worry I know what you should do. First of all modeling isn't easy it isn't something that someone can teach you but something you must teach yourself. The first thing you should do is register Ms3d and get to know the buttons then when thats all done you should start your modeling career with some tuts, which can be found on the ms3d site or Poly Count site. I know I'm not much of a big help and you probaly don't understand me but if you did you'd probaly take these as great words of wisdom :D

why?

Why is poly by poly preached as the ONLY way to make good models? it seems to be the general consensus with quite a few ppl, but ive also seen quite a bit of evidence to suggest that box modelling can also get some good results, Ive only just started modelling myself, and im not necessarily good at it, but to start with, ive personally found that its a nice easy way to get results
