HL2, possibly Source errors

Ok, so now Karrde has a decent computer. It runs HL2 in 1920 X 1200, everything on high, 6xAA (guess I could try to force more) 16x AF. Point being, 2 annoying problems.

1. My ammo indicator doesn't display correctly. I get like a partial box. I have no damn idea how much ammo I have.

2. Randomly, the screen like F's up. Not sure how to explain it. It's like a bunch of triangles just emerge out of the center of the screen randomly. I'll SC them next time if I can.

Any clues?

Intel core 2 duo 2.4 ghz
Geforce 256 MB 8600M GT
3 Gigs of ram

AA and AF cause my Radeon X1900XT to do goofy things, you might want to reduce them (or try them at different levels, or shut them off) to see if it stops the graphical glitchies.
