There's a version of Hammer for use with HL2. It comes with the HL2 SDK on Steam.

None that work really well with HL1, and none period with HL2. So, yeah.

all other stuff I need to make in other program cuz hammer I dont want to use
cuz it needs steam running and its a long story...

maybe some which can export to .map then I compile it with hammer (for hl2)??

Yeah, I remember in the five minutes I mapped for HL2, that seemed pretty stupid.

If I remember correctly, you can run the HL2 version of Hammer without running Steam if you just directly run the executable. It should be in the sourcesdk folder under your Steam account name folder.

I remember someone saying that HL2 mapping was 10x easier than mapping with the hammer we use, is that true? Well I'm gonna stay with hl1 mapping, maybe only go to hl2mapping when i'm older.
