so i just received my copy of the game of the year edition of half life i went to install it to steam and it said my cd key is duplicated what should i do??

buy it don't borrow it off someone who's already activated the cd key on steam

Dude by just received it i meant i just got it out of my letter box from ordering it...

nah man i bought it off jbhifi website which is like a proper shop i made sure it was new man

You can send a request form to VALVe to have your CD-Key reset. VALVe will reset (remove) the CD-Key on whatever account it is currently on which will allow you to register it to your Steam account.

Ahhh,I live in Australia too,and trust me...it doesnt take that long.Just make sure you do the right mail with the right tag and it should be there in approx 3 days.Trust me.

Maybe someone have an illegal copy of hl, like a crack or somthing, and then he went to one of those websites where you can you can find them cd-keys, and happend to find yours.
