Hey dudes i am new in this thing's but i want to ask is ESF free and where can i find this Steam ting .... and is it free ? PLS Help the noob

ESF is free and Steam is free, but if you don't have a copy of Half-Life 1 you'll need to buy it and register it on Steam.

You can buy Half-Life 1 directly off of Steam for $9.95 here.

You need to create a Steam account, then once you do that, you need to register your CD-key so that Steam will download Half-Life from the server and update it to the latest version.

yea i hawe started to to that but its say that my CD key is invalid .... grr damit

If it says it's invalid, make sure you typed it in correctly and include the dashes between each series of numbers.

If your key is invalid, you'll have to take it up with Valve.

It's very uncommon for someone who legitimately bought their copy to have Steam reject their key. You didn't buy your copy used, like on eBay, did you? I guess key generators have to get their keys from someone, though...

Invalid also happens when you use a key you got off the internet by a keygenerator ^^

my cD key is not from keygenerator a friend give me the game and he give me the CD key .... and where can i get new CD key

buy the game again or ask valve to reset your key.

If it's your friend's game, chances are it's already been activated once.

One a key is activated, it can never be activated on another account again.

Best chances are just to buy a new copy. It's dirt cheap nowadays, so it shouldn't be too difficult to afford.

Each of us have told you many times... The only legal way to get a new key is by buying a new copy of the game, not a used or borrowed one.

Well you could ask your friend to borow his STEAM account ^^

But other than buying Half Life 1 there is realy no other way of getting a working CD-key
