Help with hl mods

I have to set my cl_sidespeed everytime otherwise i won't be able to run forward and sideways at the same time.
Well it's getting irritating to have to do everytime so i thought i'd ask here.
Any help would be much appreciated, oh and if you don't understand something just tell me.

If you're running a listen server, open up the mod directory and find listenserver.cfg and open it. Add it in there, and the command will be executed upon server startup.

If you running a dedicated server, do the same, but instead open server.cfg and add it in there.
