that means the person skinmapped half of the character and mirrored it. you need to reskinmap it. which will be difficult if youve never modeled/skinmapped before.

You may also dublicate the texture, put this in as a new material and just assign only one half of the model to it, so both halves use different bmps which allowes you to make the sides different.

Sin Goku, what a great idea there, really I couldnt think of anything better myself! }P-)
just select by faces or vertexes the actual area you want to have blood on, then regroup it with milkshape
then duplicate the Material, and make it bind to a copy of the current image it is binded to, assign the area spoken of(blooded in potentinally)
to that copy of that other material
then edit the new material to have blood

thats about it I think, maybe better explained?

and its not layers, its materials

Do you use Milkshape? If yes:
1) Decompile your model
2) Find the texture you would have to edit in the model's folder
3) Copy it, and call it like "texture2.bmp" or such
4) Open ms3d, import the model
5) Go to the MATERIAL tab
6) Click "NEW"
7) Select the just dublicated bmp for this material
8) Now, go to SELECT/FACES
9) Select one half of the body (or the parts you want blooded OR unblooded)
10) Assign these face to the new material
11) Export to smd.

Now, by editing either the one texture file or it's copy you can decide which side of the body you edit.

When done, compile the model again.

it works if you do it right, read the steps again, and start over, if you follow them correctly you will have no problems,

now onto other things, dont double post, ill warn you next time,

Please be more precise instead of telling "It doesn't work"
Which problem does occur?
a) It doesn't compile
b) It doesn't display ingame
c) If it compiled, did HLMV say that there were 2 textures , 1 pure, 1 blooded
d) Problems in Milkshape
e) Something else, please describe it then
