HELP!! CAN YOU PLAY ESF OF HL2!?

Can you play esf on half life 2 or with counter strike source? Please Help.

No, you can't -_-. You need half-life 1, witch you can purchase in stores for about $10 - $20 or purchase it off steam for $9.95.

You mean $19.95+ tax...and you need a credit card. Or look for it in stores for $9.99, find half-life 1, the old one, made in 1998, and use that to play esf

When you get it make sure to put your cd-key on steam, don't install it from the cd-rom...

No $9.95, the $19.95 edition is the one with HL1, Blue Shift, Opposing Force and Team Fortress Classic, the $9.95 edition is just HL1. And why can't you install from the CD-Rom? It goes a hell of alot faster than downloading it from Steam. So I advice, that you just install Steam, install HL1 with the cd-rom and then play it. I did it too and I find it going faster than downloading it from Steam.

Just make sure you don't buy Half Life: Source as that is incompatible with ESF.
