Smith and I*. Grammatical respect, my friend!Zeonix said:Oh, you know me and Smith will.
Well that's your view, but you know more on the subject than the average consumers so you can make that call. If your average person walks into a store and sees two copies of the same HD movie in 1080p, one at $5-10 extra at no real benefit (to them) then they're going to want the player (also cheaper) that plays them. They're not going to care about the size difference as long as both formats have the capacity to hold the movie, and the durability thing isn't exactly common knowledge.SailorAlea said:BluRay
Pros: Much more studio support. More storage. MUCH more durable.
Cons: Price.
HD-DVD
Pros: Cheap(er).
Cons: Not much studio support, inferior storage, inferior durability.
It doesn't take a genius to see which will prevail.

Still, if you buy a PS3, you won't need to buy a Blu-Ray player (which will be quite expensive) and you can do a whole lot more for only 500 dollars (or 600 if you buy the 60GB HD version)
As far as I know, that's what's happening, which is why certain studios are supporting one format instead of the other.frsrblch said:We won't need both unless they start releasing movies on only one format or the other.
