Deverz comes from a long line of ATi haters called #atomicdivisions.

I've owned several ATi cards over the years, and I've owned several nVidia cards as well. ATi cards tend to have buggy drivers, but brighter colors and better overall visual quality while watching movies and such. nVidia tends to have blander colors and higher frame rates, though that lead is usually negligible, much as ATi's brighter colors aren't much of a difference.

Higher frame rates... As long as the card is advanced enough anything will work smooth.

Now theres something I don't understand and buggs me very much, tell me if im right

The ATI HD3xxx series is the rival of the Geforce 8 series

The ATI HD4xxx series is the rival of the Geforce 9 series

Am I right? I wanna know which level of card im buying - the one that equals to 8 or 9 geforce

Sorted by performance, and before anyone begs to differ with me, I do know what I am talking about from an unbiased view.

AMD - Red
Nvidia - Green

4870 X2 (to be released)
9800GX2
GTX280
4870
GTX260
4850
9800GTX
8800GTX
8800GTS (512MB)
8800GT
9600GT

I left out a few video cards on both sides as they aren't worth listing for various reasons; mainly because they're being replaced.

If you're spending $200, buy the 4850, performance surpasses the 9800GTX by far. It was the reason Nvidia dropped the price on the 9800GTX a whole $100 to have somewhat more justified price.

If you're spending $300, the 4870 is definitely the keeper as it performs better than Nvidia's GTX260 for the same price.

If you're going SLI or Crossfire, it's a different ball game. Also, when choosing GFX cards, some require two 6-pin power connectors and a few others require a 6 and a 8-pin power connector. You should check what your power supply has if you don't already know.

Although the 9800GX2 has more mem I'm pretty sure the GTX200 Range out performs

Memory doesn't effect performance after 512MB despite your resolution, vendors use 1GB as a selling point.

The GX2 is essentially SLI on a stick (two seperate GPUs) that's why it outperforms the GTX series.

Don't be fooled just because Nvidia saturates the market with video cards.

Hishi, do you know if I should get a specific motherboard or CPU for this card to maximize its performance? (currently I got Gbyte GA-p35-ds3l and Core 2 duo E8400)

The E8400 is sufficient enough... I doubt it'd hold back any video cards.

I think that they say GX2 was a hint. LOL

Now another question about HDD plugs: what is this One IDE (ATA 100/66/33) why does it say that ATA thing if its an IDE plug?

got it from here: http://support.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d915pcy/sb/CS-012065.htm

Its my current installed old motherboard, look at HDD category in that table will all the specifications, why does it say ATA in brackets where it say IDE?

They're one in the same pretty much.

You're probably getting confused with IDE and SATA (Serial ATA) plugs.

You wanna have SATA these days anyway, they're faster.
