Can you explain your way, and which program you are using? Modelling hands with 5 fingers is hard (for the newbies at least). Try starting with 1 thumb and all the other fingers joined, then move on, to 2 fingers then to 5.

Or Even better make a thread named *TRSS' problems with modeling* or something along those lines, and just post all the problems you have in there =o.

the tutorial will help him out when it comes to starting the base.
someone with a little experience in modeling will be able to make a good low poly hand model even if the tut is for high poly.

To make a screenshot if you don't want to go through max rendering you'd
have to just push the Print Screen button on your keyboard, it'll burn all
that's onscreen to the clipboard and from there you just ctrl+v it to whatever
photo editing program to crop and adjust as you please.

If you're talking about saving under different formats, render your scene and
then there should be a button in the top left corner where it can output your
image, instead of saving as bmp look for jpg or the likes.

Here what I would do if I modeled. I'd make 3 different boxes, and connect them togethor, that would be the finger. Then I would do the same for the other 3 and 2 boxes for the thumb. Then I'd create connect those and then make a box or hand shaped object and connect it.

Hope it helped you.
