Hi All,

This is my first model and since im a DBZ and GundamWing fan i desided to make a gundam model For ESF :)
This is the Gundam DeathScythe:







I hope u guys like and , and the model is about 25K polys so i have to fix it.
Ohyeah, b4 i forget, IT'S NOT SKINNED!

i deleted the head and now its only 9494 Polys and remaking the head tomorrow, cuz im :tired: tired.

And remember ITS MY FIRST so dont be to hard on me

it looks rly good dude, exactly like it :) btw, 25,000 poly's? :O holy moly! HL can barely run 3,000 polys (unles by 25K u meant 2,500?)

9000+ is up there... for something with so many flat surfaces. Looks pretty though.

OMG! its 9000 polys? Darkside made a deathscyth and it was only 2365 polys and it had more detail, what did you do!?!? but it does look kinda nice, just lower them polys for gods sake.

yeah im working on it right now and i only used boxes. (thats my technique :) )
but its my first model so dont be to hard on me :cry:

hey, its good and all, but you can easily use half that many polies on the model in general. most mechs are just boxes when you make them. there are also areas in the body that need work. example your legs could use some help.

heres a pic that might help you in your editing.


this model is about 2300 polies. all the details are mainly in the skin. if your goin for something for hl 2 you need to get your count down from 9000 to 7500 or lower. If you want to use it for esf, then you need to make it under 3000 cause that is half-lifes limit with character models. you wont be able to get what you have into half-life at the moment. so keep up the good work. ill be comin back to check on your progress.

3dsmax6 (3D Studio Max 6)

guys i have worked a bit on it and its now under 2000 in 3dsmax cuz i used meshsmoot but when i export to 3ds and import in milkshape its about 6000 :S

oh and is there a smd exporter for 3dsmax6?

2000 is much better, looks like you have some either misplaced polies on the legs, or need to sort smoothing groups...

looks nice so far dude, i like it, imo its hard to make a gundam.

ps: maak je sig wat kleiner.

translation: make your sig a little smaller.
