Graphics card question

I am curious as to what kind of graphics card I can get that will run ESF flawless. I'm gettin like 16 fps in servers and all maps except ESF_Frost

Geforce 2/Radeon 7500 will run it at 1024 by 768 fine. Anything over those will only be improvements.

Also your computer specs are dependent, as in how much ram you have etc. Graphics card isn't anything.

And Smith| by fine what do you mean? Like, 60 fps fine? I find if it's under 60 it changes drastically.

You're right. Let's just render software instead =)[/sarcasm]. RAM amount really isn't important (in this case), as too little would cause thrashing (calls to the hard drive during play), not generally low FPS. What you want to ask about is the speed/classificiation of the CPU and the speed of the RAM. But either of those are pretty much unimportant for a Half Life 1 modification, such as ESF.

Fine as in playable fine. I find 50-60 fps to be playable.

Upgrading on that sort of computer, which I'm assuming you bought from Best Buy or Walmart, won't do much for you at all. It's time to start saving.
