i might not even buy it if its the same rehashed gta3 in a new place

i mean yeah gta3 was fun and vice city was too for a while but geeze needs something new and refreshing (like the new zelda game )

they should add a sim city-ish aspect to it so u can buy out businesses, launder money through them, maybe build new businesses, etc... just deepen the gameplay, make it more wide opened

Juts because he crouched dosent mean the button layout is the same, and yea your right it looks a little identical but please tell me how can u tell how the engine is gonna run from an image??just because the graphics look the same dosent make it the same game for all u know they could surprise us...and critism..???if you ask me thats what grand theft auto shouldve been liked from the beggining..sure tommy was a mob type ganster..but the way people lived in GTA is something u would see in a ghetto Hood full of blacks (no offense not racsist or anything, i just feel a black guy and a gehtto neighborhood is a better addition than some guy name tommy runing around in a hawai type shirt like he just got back from vacation or something :]

Maybe you can get your own posse in this one and order them around....do drive bys and stuff with them...instead of them just standing around at your locations. Thatd be cool.

Im sure it will be different then gta3 and VC in someway or another,,,its rare that rockstar dissapoints.

if it has some nudity.. new abilities,cars,radio stations,weapons,and more interactive environments... yeah I'll get it.. but it doesn't matter i'm getting it anyway.. but I think their will be some nudity in this game cuz their is a screenshot where you can see the tan line on some girl's teta and her nipple is near appearance.. yeah but anyway.. I know this is going to be alot better than the other GTAs..

Well what I hate about the game is that it loads as you move forward. With a PS2 as slow as mine going too fast on the cars will freeze the game :\ I also have to have the radio stations turned off or it will freeze ASAP. I need a new PS2 :\

reason i said its gonna get critism is because gta3 got loads as it was the first, not to mention it was more like today, vice city wasnt as bad as it was more 80's glamour, although the chainsaw caused a few problems, so an up to date ghetto one involving driving down roads with your crew doing drive bys on bystanders is really gonna pull the censorships tooth metinks, because the ghetto theme encourages you to do it, the first two didnt, it was up to you, thus those got by bans =)

Well I preordered my copy at EB and should be getting it when they get the shipment since I know a few guys there

I'm with hib though if its the same engine I will be quite pissed off but if they make an entire new engine I will be happy even if they tweak it to make it the old engine look better I will be happy so all we can do is wait and see.

General
- The game is more serious than the others, but the elements of comedy are still there.
- A full staff of reasearch personnel at Rockstar have been studying Las Vegas, San Diego, and Los Angeles for months to ensure that they truly capture the feelings of these cities.


Location
- The game will not take place in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Las Vegas. It will take place IN ALL THREE as well as the countryside in between.
- Los Angeles will be called Los Santos, San Francisco will be called San Fieero, and Las Vegas will be called Las Venturra.
- Each city is about the same size as Vice City.
- Not all cities will be open at the start of the game.
- The entire game will be about four to six times as large as Vice City.
- San Fierro (San Francisco) will have hills. This city is more driving based.
- You can drive from LA, through the countryside, up a mountain, into San Fran, and onto Las Vegas.
- Driving through the desert won’t be empty and plain with a couple cacti...it will be vibrant and alive with weird things to see.
- There will be a lot more buildings with open interiors.


Graphics
- The graphics engine has been tweaked. Smog will be present in LA, and real-time reflections on cars, windows, and mirrors, as well as new techniques like radial lighting, which allows for more realistic shadowing, and soft-shadow lighting for interior levels will be present.
- Everything in the game now has independent models for day and night to give better lighting and shadowing.
- The game will have ragdoll physics, or “impact animation” in Rockstar’s words.


Vehicles
- As for vehicles, there will be pimped-out lowriders, and 90’s versions of some GTA3/VC cars will return.
- There will be bicycles.


Story
- Characters from the past will return.


Gameplay
- In the Las Vegas city, you will be able to buy and build a casino - and then run it.
- You can then gamble your money in the casino.
- Your character can dual wield pistols and potentially other weapons.
- You need to eat to retain your stamina. If you eat too much fast food, you become fat and pedestrians mock you for being fat. You also run slower. To remedy this, you can go to a gym to exercise.
- You can now rob homes. The robberies will require skill and planning, however.
- You can recruit gang members and use them to do four person drive-by’s. (seen here)


Weapons
- The choice of weapons will match the time in which the era of the early 90's.


Artificial Intelligence
- Enemy/pedestrian AI will be greatly revamped and they will think more logically. You can't beat someone to death in broad daylight and not have people notice and react.
- Your enemies will be smarter, which will make robbing houses take a lot of skill.


Music
- There will be a rap station, but there will be a variety of other stations as always.
