1 u would still be able to move, just like with shooting beams

2 u can teleport to him, or when he's shooting a beam at you teleport fast to him (he'll be almost out of Ki and grab him, it would stop the spammers

3 it would make esf more realistic

4 make it so that when ur in a powerstruggle u and ur opponent cant be hit , or just make it a fast move

it's a great idea really,

hm...if i think about it again...

grabbing is only good for attacking a strong enemy
but if you kill him, he comes back with more energy and healt
under these conditions i wouldn´t kill myself to help another person getting more pl

his move is only usefull for last-team-standing or something like that

1.Its a great idea and the ESF team **SHOULD** look into it
2.maybe u should change some things like when your flying and u grab them it stops them doing any attack they were doing and starts the power strugle if the person holding onto the other person wins u should have a few options what u want to do with them...
3.throw them into a building/floor
4.power up and fly toward the ground still holding onto them,before hitting the ground release the person and dealing mega damage if u dont release in time u take 1/2 the damage of the person
5.if u dont win the PS the guy being held gets to brake out of the hold and throw you or....
6.do a large ki blast like the one vegeta did against buu and deal large damage to the person but taking some damage aswell
7.do a large combo on them and two-handed smash them into the ground.
maybe it would work maybe the half-life engine isent cut out for it but i would LOVE to see that

the grabbing idea is great but, i dont really remember but isn't there going to be scouters in the beta?

yah cud add team play as well... grab someone and get ur friend to shoot a beam make is so wen ur grabbing all the damage u take is wat the person ur grabbing takes...so if ne1 shoots u the victim gets damaged

i think he asked if there are gona be scouters cause u cud see someone sneak up behind u on the scouter. but even then the scouter doesnt give an exact position.

Scouters are accurate to about 5 gameworld feet. You'll see when you try and find the DB's.

hmmm was it firefly.... anyway someone said that if they could do like a power hiding thing.....
like you move very slow and such things and then BAAAMM you raise you PL again and grabs him (to fast for the scout like goku do against the ginyu command group)

its not useless.
because lets say your doing a tourny
then you'd wanna hide your pl since a 1v1 is so much different from a ffa.

especially if your role playing...its like your hiding your pl at 500,000 then you power up a kame wave and it pops up to 1.5 million
oh damn that would be sweet.

Hmm, is the new melee system going to include some kind of lock or approximation system? Melee at this point seems to require that you not only be touching the opponent, but also be oriented almost exactly on their body. This can only get harder to acheive as maps get even larger with the scaledown.

It would make sense if you could initiate a "grab" by flying/teleporting (pretty) close to a person and hitting the grab melee attack. This would automatically launch you to the person and latch you on to them--it'd be like a teleport move that homed in on your target and ended in a grab. This would allow it to work even if your aim wasn't *perfect*. You could teleport across half the map to get close to someone, THEN trigger the grab attack the instant you appear in front of/behind them!

Balancing would determine exactly how close you had to be to initiate a grab so it would be used, but not to excess. Skill would manifest in being sneaky enough to NOT have to teleport towards someone to grab them, because then you'd have all your ki to pour into the grab PS.

For an encore, you could allow the opponent to still use melee kicks if you grabbed them from the front (don't worry, Harsens, I'm not serious).

Yes that would be great, plus with the struggle bar ideas, and stuff. (Not made by you) I think this idea actually can be in gameplay. Oh here a lil thing for you all.
