Gothax WIP

[Eclipse]

Yeah, most of you know that Bid for Power 2 is in progess (slowly as most the team has VERY busy lives). But never the less I hae finally started on my assigned project, Gothax. I haven't got very far yet, there is still a lot of work needed on just this head alone, but I figured I might just show it anyway...can't hurt right? So let me know what you think.

But why dont you re-design that guy a little?
I mean he looks like the old one so much,
maybe change mouth or eyes, dunno,
try something different with him

I liked the original chara design of BFP, and this looks pretty secksi.

I never knew you modelled for BFP 2.

heh, there are a bunch of artists who do the concept designs on the bfp2 team, i think he's following what they've done, which is a good idea because the art is amazing.

Heh great that you picked up modelling again.
I hope this is allright, i added the concept art you're probably using as a ref for better criticism

Now for my crits. First you need alot more detail on the ears, you should save some polies elsewhere.
Second i think his mouth, lips need to protrude more out of the face and his chin needs some more shape and definition too.
And third i think his eyes are wrong from what i understand from the pic his eyes are those black pupils only and the rest you see are his eyesockets.
Ofcourse i think you probably know better how the artist intended it to be.
So my main view on this is he needs to look rougher and not so much like a smiling frog. You can do this by deepening his eyesockets and giving him more of a "moul" ( i don't know if this is the right english word)

Oh and i hope i'm not beeing to rude with my crits. You know i love it.

Ah I see what you mean by the eyes, I didn't notice that...I guess my concept image is a bit misleading .

Also the chin area in that picture isn't done yet, and the ears are still a wip, I am going to come back to them a little later once i get most of the overall work done. I gotta go to work soon, but when I come home I will work on him more and hopefully update this topic after that . Thanks for the comments guys!
