Not too sure if your specs can run it, I think they can. But you should definitely try Maffia. 1930s Grand Theft Auto-ish game, with a very good story.
Freelancer, great space shooter with good story.

What don't you like about it though? Because Maffia isn't anything like GTA, it is just the same in the sense that you use cars to traverse across a city. Except, Maffia has about a millions times more awesome storyline. It's a heavily story oriented game.

You can run rome total war on med settings, jedi academy/outcast - which has some awesome mods for online longevity.

You might be able to play mount and blade on low settings...

Fighting is based on consoles. FPS' are not my strong sides but you definitley can play call of duty 2. Just look back at those 2002-2004 first person shooters and im sure you could run most of em.

you could also try Faces of war, although this is REALLY on the edge spec wise. It's a very good WW2 Real time tactics(RTT) game with unique gameplay.

I have a P4 3 ghz and geforce 6200turbo cache, so mine is a BIT better than your rig.

If you turn down the settings and lower the resolution a bit, I think you should be able to run Frogger with semi-decent frames per second.

If you can't survive a bit of push pulling, you should practice more. Basically what you want to do, if you intend on winning, is go light side, and use absorb. Then sword the bastards to pieces.

ok painkiller I was sure you would bother to look for mods for Jedi academy when I wrote that mods add a lot to online play. So I will do the work for you:

download this mod http://www.moviebattles.com/

It is called moviebattles and it is a balanced realistic style of star wars, it is really good, especially in clans. try it.

So you played all the games I told you about?

Only problem with your computer is that Semprom CPU, but I believe you can play Battlefield 2, its a nice FPS/Medal system that rewards you for doing not so stupid things in a war...
try Team Fortress 2, but idk maybe its gonna lag even in low settings...

Sins of a solar empire for some RTS, recommend also RUSE BETA but its only 1 day left for testing so...

Total war is a good idea and I think you can run pretty smothly.

If you are in emo mode could try The Sims 3.

Have you ever playied Mount & Blade? it can lasts hours of fun just riding a horse and hitting ppl with a lance around.

Search around mate...
