Well, I've seen a Dreamcast on sale for pretty cheap, and I'm considering picking it up this week. I just wondered if anyone could reccomend some games that I ought to pick up.
I'll be getting Shenmue (playing the second one on Xbox at the minute :D) and I think I'll get Soul Reaver too. Were there any good RPG's for the console?

CRAAAAAAAAAAAAZY TAXI!

probably the only game on earth with a replay value higher than the console itself D: amd addictively fun too.

sword of the berserk - guts rage. is good too.

heck, most DC games are good. the console is easily better than its counterparts of the time. so almost everything will be visually pleasing for you

Yeah the Dreamcast was a testament to how Sega knew what it was doing.

When I had one I mostly played Soul Calibur, Marvel vs Capcom, NFL2k, and NBA2k.

Jet Set Radio is most, most excellent.

Whenever I think DC, I think JSR. I miss it much. :( My DC broke a while ago.

Provided I can find them, I'll buy the Powerstone games. They rocked - a lot. I'm considering buying Sword of the Berserk (pretty cheap on Amazon), and I loved Jet Set Radio Future on Xbox, so I might buy the original.
I've heard good things about Skies of Arcadia aswell, is it worth looking out for?

It is just so unfortunate that only now people start to appreciate the console for what it's truly worth. If the thing had been more popular, SEGA might not have gone down the way it did.

Power Stone kicked some serious ass. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 comes in a close second followed by Crazy Taxi. Now i wish i still had my DC >_<

I'd give you some recommendations, but everyone else have already mentioned lots of very fine games, and to be honest, you'll be hard pressed to find a bad game on the Dreamcast. To this day, I still stand by it as being the single best console ever made. It has an incredibley varied amount of games, with almost every third-party imaginable having at least one game for it. With so many good games, it's almost unfathomable how Sega's powerhouse of a console didn't do better than it did.

Anyways, you'll be immensely happy with your purchase, I can tell you that. And if you can't find a certain game anymore, it just so happens that the Dreamcast has the single worst protection on its games in existence. And well, I better not say anymore. o_o

Skies of Arcadia is one of the best RPGs in existance.
Phantasy Star Online Ver2, I spent many many hours on that game......great stuff.

I would say more but I would just be repeating the ones already posted.

Bought Powerstone, Quake 3 and Sonic Adventure. Unfortunately Shenmue and Soul Reaver weren't in, so I'll have to order them online :(
