I just saw a JAPAN movie!! goku Did go to SSJ!!

could be but he can't make a genki dama in his ssj form, however after making and launching it he can push it in ssj..

Goku first created the Spirit Bomb, then went SSJ while holding it..

Krillen: 'No Goku! You can't go Super Saiya-Jin while holding the Genki Dama! You have to be pure of heart!'

.. so because he couldn't actually wield it in SSJ, Goku absorbed all the energy of Spirit Bomb and smacked the Android clear out of the park..

Ya goku preety much gave Super Android 13 a smackdown when he absorbed the Genki-Dama. To bad he never did that in the show.
