im gonna get this computer, I have a pretty good knowledge about computers, just not fully 100% understand. It's a massive upgrade from my current AGP computer piece of ****.

This to me looks like an awesome deal.

And this is the monitor.

Can anyone recommend me a better monitor for around the same price? I'm looking for something with speakers inside the monitor.

Or can anyone recommend me a computer better for my buck?

Also, I'm looking for a gaming pc. Anyone got a better deal on a better machine?

Yeah. That one is pretty good. It should work for just about anything you want to do. It would probably be a lot cheaper if you bought all of the parts seperate. You might try Newegg too. They might have some better deals.

yeah it works pretty great, unless you want to game of course
then you're ****ed.

8500 is BELOW lowrange, it won't even run half life 2 properly.
you can get alot of better stuff for the same price.

if you want a gaming system, stay clear of this!
also don't let the DX10 fool you, this card ain't good enough to run anything in DX10.

I know this might sound a bit unbelievable, but just check google for performance.
the 8500 just does not cut it.

also a massive lol at one of the comments

About to get this product. A friend has one and its amazing. Only thing i suggest is to replace the 420W power supply. Im putting in a 550W. 420 is just a bit to risky since the GPU already takes up about 400. Another then that its a really good system for the price.
it takes about 65w at best..

If your going to use that Video card you'll probably have to change the power supply that comes with the system, it's 420W, you'll probably need at least a 500W to be safe.

Also that case doesn't seem to come with a rear exhaust fan, I would definitely add one.

One thing I dont like about that site is they dont say the brand of some of the components, so it hard to say if the listed price is good or not.

I'd try to get the power supply up to at least 500W, try to get 600W if you can. I know it may seem like a waste of money but trust me, it's not. Don't cheap out on the power supply because it's what's going to keep your pc's heart beating.

Spend the extra 30 bucks and get this

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129112

ATI cards are back in the game. Go look up benchmarks on the 4000 series if you're interested.

Great price on that PC, that is what I would go for as well. And as for the monitor, if you're just using it for your PC, I would recommend this.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009094

Although I think someone recommended it already. It is cheaper than the KDS monitor because of the free 3 day business shipping.

I'm gaming / using it for 3d modeling. I want the best contrast and color I can get.

As well as awesome resolution.

I think that heatsink is for Intel 775 cpu's.

I would recommend one of these PSU's

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...58 4027&page=1&bop=And&SrchInDesc=silverstone
What do you mean about the heatsink? Is it not compatible?

<---somewhat newbie to tech stuff but I know enough to get me by.

Let me run down exactly what I'm getting.

I'm getting that monitor, it seems better + has built in speakers, something I want.

Can anyone post me a good, direct PSU to get?

Otherwise this computer is going to rape.

haha.

I'd personally go for a higher clocked duo core, but that's fine too.
and sorry for suggesting 8800GT, I'm still a tad bit stuck in it's glory days.

Good thing. I ordered it, it should be arriving in three days.
