There aren't enough games for the Xbox 360 to be part of the competition. I'm sure it'll be in there next year.

It's surprising how the best game of the year for Xbox is a multi platform game.

Also, lumping Xbox and 360 titles in one category = lame.

Man I remember when Gamespy used to at least have a clue...

Err... realize that Microsoft no longer produces the Xbox, they only produce 360s and support a handful of third party games for the original Xbox for consumers that are behind the times. Considering there are so few 360 games, and considering those are the only games Microsoft is actually producing, I don't see why it is unfair to combine the two categories.

"So few?" What the hell do people smoke at this forum, anyway? There are over 100 next-gen Xbox 360 titles.

Your section or not that was just rude you should know better he's an admin which means he ranks higher then you so you should try and be respectful.

The 360, PS3 and Wii results should be out Thursday so you'll see your gears of war.

He didn't say anything offensive to Boyster. He was merely confused as to why so many people failed to realize the sheer number of games available on the 360. I have to admit, I, too, didn't realize there were so many games available. I mostly just know about the few heavy hitters that people speak of so often.

There was no mal intent in Pride's post, I can assure you.

Yeah i bet you can since it's becoming harder for me to tell where you end and he begins. I might have agreed with you under normal circumstances but these aren't normal and i'll leave it at that.

Most of the xbox 360 titles i saw today at EB were just the same sports games so i highly doubt there are over 100 xbox 360 exclusive games.

I've got to agree with Zeonix here. From a third-party perspective, Pride's post looked completely innocent and should be taken as a jest, which is what it was.

Anywho, XBox360 wasn't the only next-gen gaming console left off the list, so...

Also take note, it claims that Oblivion is the second best game of the year for PC, and the best MOD is the Oblivion overhaul.

It's not a matter of quality, it's a matter of quantity -- as in, who pays the most for advertising with said magazine and affiliates. ;)

A.) I'll admit I didn't realize there were over a hundred games, although, I do see a lot of games that are cross console, and very, very few that are exclusive. How much weight that chops off of the system is subjective, PS2 and Gamecube also have a lot of cross console titles (obviously, they cross consoles), but it's my impression they have more exclusives than Xbox.

B.) My being an administrator doesn't have anything to do with my knowledge of video games.

C.) Relax. That means everybody. If you disagree, just explain why you disagree.

For the record, IGN has posted their own Game of the Year awards, and Gears of War was the winner for the 360. So I guess even though they are owned by Gamespy they aren't the same choices for GOTY.
