Games like the "Total War" series

The Total War games series is very very awesome.

I'm asking you guys if there are any other games/game series out there that is the same (Real world setting and realistic fighting and realistic diplomatic, hundreds/thousands of troops on a battlefield, sieges, battle strategies, economy and that kind of stuff) so sort of exactly like total war or a very similar concept.

So any games out there?

Note: even if you don't like the game you know and it is like the Total War series, still, please name it.
