Game won't start

i just downloaded the final open beta but when i join a game it loads but then when you should select your character it just freezes in some way.
i mean when you push escape i see buu wobling in a black window -_-
it happens always if i create server or if i join one.

Please give us more information. Are you using Steam? Playing the Open Beta through steam as well?

yup downloaded from filefront via hl2files.
offcourse i'm playing trough steam
cpu specs won't matter i think but i'l say them anyway
p4 3.2 ghz
8600gts 256 mb
4gb ram.

esf 1.2 works great but there aren't good lowping server arround...
all 100-500 ping :S

I also assume you use OpenGL mode (through the video settings?)

You mean the one where the beam start sprite is in a wrong angle compared to the beam or the one where the beam doesnt clear the previous beam jump points and makes it look like an L shape on the second beam jump ^^
