Game Crashes

Hi im not really a noob but I need help with the game. About 15 minutes into gameplay the game just freezes and i have to restart my comp, could someone please tell me why this happens and how to fix it please. Thanx

It may be a problem with your drivers. Make sure they are all up to date.

A reinstall may also work.

Yes i use steam and my drivers are all up to date i tried re-installing it and it still didnt work its confusing.Thanx anyway.

You wouldn't be trying to play in software video mode would you?

If you start up ESF and go to the options menu, you should see a tab labeled "video".

Click on that tab, and under the title "renderer" you should see a box with something in it. If it says "software" it means you're trying to run in software video mode.

If that is the case, what you need to do is change that to opengl or d3d.

Hmmm it was on openGL but it now plays for longer and when it crashes it comes up with a message. Buffer overrun.... and box of writing. sorry for the brief description but it dosent stay on very long

well it was crashing before but that was when it was just frrezing so i thought i might have to download evm, but it just plays for longer now and comes up with that message.

I suspect your new problem may be related to EVM.

So, I suggest you try a fresh reinstall without EVM.
Delete your entire ESF folder, download the full 1.2.3 installer, and install again.
