Ok.. be kind in your crits. This is my very first model that I've made from scratch. I'm still not sure If I'm making it right, because I'm following what I've learned from trial and error. It still needs a lot of work, and a more roundishness to it, but I hope its a good start:<BR><IMG SRC="http://hyper_saiyan1.tripod.com/test1.JPG"><BR>And this is the first time all crits go to me. Plz try not to steal my work. I don't know if I'll be able to use it in any games once I'm done, but if it can be done, I'll probably need help in that area.

See all those black things? There backwords polys. They will turn black like that ingame, or you might not even see them. get rid of them and make shure all he polys are regular.

ok, I just figured out that reverse thing, and it seems its gunna take a while. I will get it done tho.

Select the black poly or polys, then go to face, reverse vertex order and itll flip the polt to make it regular ^_^ Pretty simple really.

It is fairly simple.. I just have so much black in there it'll be difficult to select the right triangles :rolleyes:

Ahh.. s'ok. I got this. At least once I finish it, I could maybe get you to help fix 'er up a bit. It needs some fixing without those black spots. Not round enuff.

Great concept, but looks kinda high poly to me... Like it till now, looks like all black polies are removed, but can you make the legs/arms a lil less straight, they really look like sticks now [didn't said this if you want it that way...:p].

Verticles = 1034
Triangles = 1798
Groups = 11
Materials = 4
Joints = 0
Smoothing Groups = 1, 2
Mins = -23.81, -42.36, -26.92
Maxs = 23.81, 44.00, 25.13
Center = 0.00, 0.82, -0.90<BR>
Hope that clears some stuff up. And the legs and arms I want straight. If I put it in a game, I'll throw in some bendy knees and arms.

where did u get the refs and could u post yours cous im going to make a sonic adone for esf and they could come in handy :laff:

wow your poly count is high. -triangle count-

i would not continue withought shaving off ALOT of polies, i think your going for too much of a high definition model for the half life engine..

clearly you can shave off alot of polies on the arms, legs and parts where the hair is starting on his head.

Well, personally I wasn't aiming for sticking it in a game, I just wanted to make it. If the poly's too high, well, I'll worry about it when I consider actually sticking it in a game. Right now I just want to get it done.
