I know you used to have fighting in the older versions and it sucked but if you could make the fighting like in the HL mod The Specialists it would be alot cooler. I know there will be auto punches and stuff in the new melee but if you make seperate fighting it would be more like the movies and shows

ive seen it and it looks cool but fighting would be cool also not just a auto thing but its fun when u pick like if you wan to kick or punch. melee is a melee and fighting is fighting there 2 different things and should both be included in esf

What kind of rock are you living under? Prepunching (additional emphasis on the PRE) is like the first 2-3 seconds of melee, that's just the starting off the combat.

Read the advanced melee post, and watch the video ( http://www.esforces.com/team//news/10_4_03/ESFCombo1.avi ).
Note - acouple things have changed (for the better) since that video, and we WILL redo the blocking system, so no worries. Also note that that video is serious WIP, there is no FX, sounds, or even damage, just the basic system. In the current inteam we have damage and sounds and whatnot, still not complete though..

Ya but those are melees not fighting. The person isnt controling the punches and kicks. If you put fighting in the person could fight like four people at the same time and the higher the level is you can make the fighting for the guy faster and stronger. If you play The Specialists you would know what I mean, without fighting the game is like missing a peace from being like the show. Putting melee was a great step but fighting would be cool too.

Omg, wtf man. You're really not getting something. After the prepunches (the fast punches that make the guy move backwards), you are controlling ALL of the punches AND kicks. Every punch and kick is controlled by the user. It's not "free movement" like TS because, lets be real, how are you going to have close melee combat in ESF without being locked in a battle? Just try going ingame and hitting people / staying close to them without constantly swooping.
