this idea is oritional from lemingballz.
what about when there are a lot of heafy fights the level os corupting, not that everything go's boom but a lot of stones comes from the ground and it get's darker.
only a spiritbomb can bright the enfiremend up, but something like a ff will make it only more darker.
it will not be a total dark area but you can see hardly, but when the fight's are getting weaker the level also get's lighter and less rock's comes from beneath.

c&c?

I don't get it, are you fighting against the map itself, or does your style of fighting (in say Deathmatch) alter the environment?

You mean when the opponents are stronger and stronger the level gets darker, more rocks fly, big booms and such? And only the spirit bomb can light it up? Hm. You forgot about the lightning! :D

i know about the level but it would be a better fealing to play rather to have a quiet enviremend with a fight in it, it will give some movemends in the level.
no, there isn't any lag.
you dont get lag with charging up and shooting agains a wall is it, this is the same but you nead a lot of ppl and a verry big fight to get this effect.

i think if there would appear more lightning, it would get darker, and whatever else eyecandy there is, it would definatly give more lag, it would be neat, but i think it will become more laggy

Everything getting dark might be a nice addition. Like when there's a powerstruggle between two guys with pl's over 50 million or so. They'd have to be fully transofrmed though.

Ah now I understand what you mean, yeah I think that would be cool, like when Goku was fighting Frieza on destroyed Namek and there were flashes of lightning and thunder crashing about them as the battle got more intense, right?

Oh and Super Krillen, the maps are at their maximum size/capacity now. The only way to have bigger maps is port to HL2 (not happening) or to scale down the ESF characters size even more.

offtopic: scalling the models down will only give big problems with the bones and skin, it is also not good for detail work.
ontopic: yep ravendust, that's what i mean.
it will make it a lot better, it can even get back some esf fans they lost becours of adv. melee.
i'm one of thow's fan's, leved it becours of adv. melee.(also becours of steam but that's not my fault, some baka has my key somehow with a keygen)

Not only lag...

Halflife Engine, does it support lighting effects such as darkening the map when a huge beam is charged, not to mention the dead give away.

"The map is darkened, therefore somebody is charging a hefty beam to separate my head from my neck."

I know you can change skyboxes (for cloudy skys, atmosphere, etc) in HL2 but I don't think you can do it in HL1.

ESF would probably be way better if they ported it to the source engine but two problems with that.

1. not everyone has HL2 and it costs alot right now (alot of pissed people i mean)
2. the team is right its ALOT of work to completely start a mod from scratch again

its true it will lag but not much the only thing that would make it lag is lighting and/or the energy particles floating upwards the whole map and even then we have both of those in the game (gokus transformation and spiritbomb) so i wouldnt imagine it would be to bad

Darkening the map would involve changing the skyboxes to a different colour. That is, for example the equivalent of changing from Cell Games Day to Cell Games Night. The loading times would cause lag, not to mention that if numerous high powered people exist and all are at separate intervals charging beams, the map would constantly be changing from day to night, causing lag.

Now with Kung-Fu action!

Lemmingball Z is funny. But it just won't happen. You can blow up trees, make them shake, cause people pain by smashing them about, vapourising people what more could you ask for? It's not a company. It's just some cool guys who made a mod.
