I'm going to have to go with Tommy Vercetti, his attitude was always great, even when powerful people talked down to him he always got back in their face with a smartass comment. Tommy for the win.

I like Vercetti and CJ, but I'm pulling for Claude. I found the silent hardass thing to be hilarious. No matter how ridiculous the job, he just nods his head and does it. He was like Crono minus the whole good-doing ... thing.

I'm going to have to go with Tommy. Not only is he a persona out of the 80's, but I think he best fits the GTA motif (considering all GTA games from the original until San Andreas). I never really got into the character of Carl Johnson, and I found the stone-faced persona of Claude a bit predictable, I guess.

So, Tommy gets my vote =]

in GTA SA you get a call from Catalina and she mentions his name, also the name of the main character in GTA2 is Claude Speed
