fatal errror with esf+ecx_rc2+bigpack_8.4

plz help me, I have problem... when I instaled esf+ecx_rc2, I started game and when it reaches to precaching resourses loading stops and in task manages sas that esf is not responding... plz help with this problem. thx

ECX Takes up a lot of system resources, especially by the game because ECX is a huge addon for AMXX. What are your system specs? Using Steam, etc?

I bought new computer 1 month ago, so he is: Core2Quad Extreme 3,2Ghz, 4GB ram, 1000GB hard, Geforce 9800GTX 512MB ram, windows vista ultimate ^_^

Folow that. Skip the steps that you allready did.

After you have ESF runing you just install ECX and the big pack as you did the first time.

What do you mean with softmod?

The Half Life engine is not open source. So making it standalone is impossible on this engine since the only thing Valve gave out was a SDK.
