Faces disappear

when I look at a stair in my map some faces disappear and sow does some other things in the map how can I fix it ? Btw: I map in Quake Army Knife ( http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~quark/index.php3 )

Most likely you'll have to remap those brushes.

oky tnx still dont know what brushes r but I'v fixed it I redid the stairs and some other thing and now it's gr8 again

'brushes' are the objects you make the map with. Mostly everything in the world is a brush, such as the walls, mountains, doors, ceilings, etc.

happened to me too once just made them func_wall and they showed up

It looks promising. But I still don't get the picture what your mod is going to be about. Can you give some more details?

And why are you using quark instead of hammer for mapping?

this is not for the mod it's just for counter-stike and maybe for the specialist the reason why I use quark is that I don't understand Hammer because mapping is easy and Hammer makes it a big deal

It's a difference in what suits you best i guess. Personally, I prefer VHE over QUARK. And in your case, QUARK really suits you best.

Not bad at all. Will we get to see some textured screenshots aswell ?

maybe I'v almost finished the rough part and texturing can then begin, because I realy get bored of texturing thats why I'll do it last.... screenshots when that crappy steam works with his down periods o jeah almost forgot how can you make a invisible wall and when you shoot at it you don't see the stuff comming out of it (don't realy know how to say it ) and how can I make the black on the sprite away

Where do you want to make that wall..? And I think there are some tutorials about those things.

somewhere so you can't go on a roof so the wall has a blocking funtion

Create a brush, tie it to a func_wall. And set the render mode solid, and render amount to "0".

Whoohoo another problem :\ now I'm Texturing the map and the fps drops how commes is it because it need to be the right scale ore something HERE is the map please don't abuse it and say it is yours and if you wanna use it ask my permission...... The map isn't fully textured and and some textures are missplaced some walls aren't there, bomspots works and there is place for 10 ct and 10 t have fun REMEMBER BETA :smile:

Try selecting all brushes, hit the texture application tool, and setting X-Scale and Y-Scale to '1'. Always try to keep all textures at same scale number - it looks ugly if you do not in most cases.

Well well he finaly dropped a map on the topic. But I can't DL it :cry:

Find someone to host it for you on a better server.

And post some screenshots if you can.

Real mappers don't steal other maps, but they use it to become better in something. So don't yell that kind a stuff in here.
