Well i used the movie maker for, uhmm, making movies, especialy DBZ Videos(mybe i'll post some on YouTube), but recently i got myself XP SP2 and of course the new Movie maker. The thing is it doesn't work now, i mean it doesn't play the timeline, but if i play a clip in movie maker (not in the timeline it works). Any help will be apreciated.
PS If u think it's becouse of the codecs, i have Ace Mega Codecs Pack 603

Try removing all non-standard codecs and installing the latest Divx codec.

Thats kinda it, i don't know which codecs are standard and which are not.
Maybe someone that uses WMM can tell me what codecs he has enabled.

Have you tried to find an uninstaller for 'Ace Mega Codecs Pack', or removing it through Add/Remove programs? I'm betting that's causing a codec conflict.

Go to options. On the advanced tab make the Video format setting to NTSC.

Its set to PAL by default and that dosent want to save files. (that show i fixed it ^^)

It was saved to pal. BTW i can save but i can't see clips once i put them into the timeline.
If someone who has Movie Maker working could write down what codecs he has enabled (in 'options') it would be a great help.
BTW Check-out the link in this post: http://forum.esforces.com/showthread.php?p=784113#post784113(made with the xp sp1 version of Movie Maker)

I have a feeling that it has nothing to do with what codecs you use if you are still able to play movie clips within Movie Maker. Besides, what do you mean that you cannot play movie cips within the timeline? Is the play button greyed out?

Oh sorry, didn't explain: I click "play entire timeline" (of course i have some clips in the timeline), then the sound/music on the clips plays but it doesn't show in preview window.
I can play clips in movie maker but not if they are in the timeline
And for a more detalied explanation:
