Hello.

I wanted to ask if EVM's source code has been distributed anywhere.
If no, could I somehow get it?

I just wanted to get some knowledge of how beam size is adjusted in EVM. I have my own method - adjusting custom beam explosion sprite size in an ESF-specific game message and playing with AMXX's radius damage.

But I wonder how it's done in EVM and if it's more efficient in it.

I don't think the source code to EVM is going to be released any time soon, but I'm sure Raven or someone else from the core| team would be more than happy to help you with your beam question.

The core team made a special deal with the AMXX creators in order to be able to keep the EVM and ECX code closed source even though AMXX is an open source product.

I'm aware of that, Grega. That doesn't mean that they would never distribute it though.

Why would you need it ? I'm sure it's not compatible with 1.3 anyway.
Plus, creating your own can be more effecient since EVM proberly has coding techinques that date back 4 years ago.

Pretty much about this time, I think they should at least release EVM's Source Codes... Though GB and Raven have their rights.

The source code hasn't been released yet and I highly doubt it ever will.

P.S @dutchmeat - watch your language in front of other members of this community, I can still remember as you were asking people for more information about EVM and its functions.
