I connected to a game and i think it downloaded the EVM when i started becouse it was downloading alot and took me about 15 minutes to join the game. its ok but i really dont like something downloading stuff without me knowing what it is!

You do have a way of knowing. Whenever you are looking at the server list, under the game mode's column, it should tell you if it's "ESF" or "ESF | EMV". If you join a server that has EVM and you don't have it on your computer, it will automatically download it to your computer.
