yes the other map it was breakable , other map has already been ' released' okay ill upload a pic now with a character model so you can get a better idea of the size

Arena is way too small but so far I like the theme. Perhaps add a lake somewhere?

How do you guys make those things?
I can't make such things with Valve Hammer.
The tutorials or the help file that comes with Valve Hammer also don't help me.:cry:

wip eh? k, the rocks needs to be a lil bit smoother, use more triangle brushes and i would scale the textures a bit.

Im thinking Cell Tournament from Budokai but I could be wrong.
Anyway how about making the Arena just a big bigger?
All Cell maps i've seen have such little arena. I know it doesn't
matter on a public server. But what if someone wants to 1on1?
or challenge another clan? Its going to forever be Mr. Satan's
esf_neotournament :p

Okay, the rock face at the side seems to be rather flat... make it more like a rock face.

Get a tiled texture for the ring.

And put a nice lake at the side, maybe on the crner of the ring.

i'm currently compiling the 'big' version of the map , and ill do a small version as well (size like the screenshot one but with bigger arena)

the arena can get a hole blown in it , the side cones are destroyable)

i'm just lowering the r_speeds as they got a bit high on that big one

added newer pics of the map ,
as you can see , there is a ' big ' and a normall version of the big one has r_speeds up to 2000 in hot spots and the normall one up to 1000

ill just need to work out some details .. and i'm ready (sounds and stuff) but the bloody compile takes over an hour for the big one

try finding uber good quality maps and you'll wonder how long they've been compiling

ans: 2-5 hours

Nice map,i finally see a map with some destructibles in it.

BTW,I'm not sure about this,try adding a light_environment above the map to reduce the compile time,mine did :) but the map was corrupt then :S

duh, thats because the entity was in the world not surounded by brushes etc, its kinda stupid to do that, map will compile but with leaks or errors, and when it compiled with the light_env above the map it will give a leak/arror and no wonder it compiles uberfast, it skips rad and vis :p
