ESF v1.2 HELP PLEASE!!!

Hello I'm having troubles installing ESF! I have got Half-life and i've already updated it to v1.1.1.0. I Also have steam as well the lastest version but!
Once i installed ESF v1.2 there is a shortcut icon to start ESF v1.2
But everytime i click it, it starts of with steam and ****...etc!
All i want is just to play the game by myself with bots!
I don't want to play online, i just want to play by myself with bots! It's that simple but it won't work! I went into Half-life and clicked on Custom game!
I look around and can't find ESFv1.2! I can't even find it! I refresh the list and i still can't find it! All i want is to play the game by myself! NOT ONLINE OR ON LAN JUST by myself! Can someone please help me!
Just gimme the steps of Installation ...Example
1. Install Half-life
2. Install ESF into the Half-life directory! WHATEVER
just tell me in steps ok? AND REMEMBER i don't want to play on the internet!
I want to play by myself with bots... I just want to play the game!!! Is there any other solution to run the game without running steam? i've tried Half-life but when i go into Custom game i can't find ESFv1.2 at all!!!

Can someone please be generous and lend me a helping hand! Thanxs it'd be great bcoz i've got Dial up and it took me ages to download ESFv1.2 Approximately 14-15 hours! I've finally downloaded and now i can't even play it...by my self! Please help! All!!

Hmm, to play with yourself all you really need is some lotion......<drum beat>

*Sigh* You state you want to play by yourself with bots...but you don't want to create a LAN game. Technically then, you couldn't play period. To play by yourself with bots, YOU HAVE TO create a LAN game. Now that we cleared that up...

You state you have Steam and HL and both are up to date. I also assume you installed the Steam Version of ESF since you talk about the icon starting up Steam. This is good, it shows that everything is working. Now here's what you do, you click on the ESF 1.2 icon and Steam starts up and does it's stuff and then ESF start up. Simply click on Create Game option, select any options you want to turn on/off, select map or leave random and PRESTO, you just created a LAN where you can play by yourself. Use Console to add bots.

See, that wasn't so hard now was it

Im not that dumb, i had v1.1 ESF

Lemme Xplain again ok...I can't even get into ESFv1.2
i can't even load it up....i can;t even go to the freggin main screen where u create games and where there is custom games etc!!
I don;t even no what to do!
So please, why don;t u just gimme steps lyk uninstalling it!

OR

How did u insstall ur stuff?
tell me that, lyk 1st uninstall everything!
Then install Half-life then update ther version to 1.1.1.0. then use steam then etc!
THATS WHAT I WANT BCOZ I CAN:T EVEN GET TO THE MAIN SCREEN!!

It keeps on asking for my cd-key as well!
I actually went into a local EB store and bought Half-life with the cd-key ORIGNAL Cd -key
And it sez error on it!
Iz ther any other possible way wifout using ur cd-key to play ESF?
bcoz wen i start Half-life it asks for my cd-key! I put it in and it works it accepts it!
But wen i put it for steam it doesn't accept it!

So now i;'ve heard about heaps of people play ESF without puttin ther cd-key in lyk for steam!
NOW I NEED MAJOR HELP!

uninstall everything

then either


install steam
install hl via steam and enter key (make sure you don't make typo's)
install esf
start it up via the steam games menu
create a game and you can play against bots on lan



or

install hl
update to 1.1.1.0
install esf to sierra/half-life/esf not sierra/half-life/hl.exe/esf
start up esf via custom games in hl (if you use the esf shortcut make sure the target line is correct)
create a lan server and play against bots

you cant make a folder in a appication

it should be sierra/half-life/esf

it should be sierra/half-life/esf

I know that but sometimes the installer tries to install to that directory...
