Esf thread & posts restored :: [sep, 17 - 2008]

Everything has been restored as they used to be. This I'm afraid includes the new changes, but those will be made again later on today AND or tomorrow as it's my moms birthday today. I'll be doing this myself as I don't want things to break again by others ^_^.

I actually haven't noticed that. I also re-created most of the sections again, so the forums looks more and more like the new version of the forum category set up. I've also added up a "news" section which will be displaying all the news shown on the front page including some non-front page news such as forum related news like this thread.

Well i think the news updates from esf-chat should be done here and have ESf chat for the POTW and similar.

We can allso use this place for special feature updates and forum related news.

Anouncements are just a level higher than this part of the forum.

So anouncements for the really important things

This forum for the "You should know" stuff and front page news

esf-chat for POTW/MOTM discussion and generall ESF talk.

You often see forum news and front page news on many mod websites.

Not trying to nitpick or anything, I just fail to see how this is necessary when there are already two perfectly good methods of distributing news. The announcements and the front page.

We try to make people happy, and we seek crits, comments, and feedback.

He fails to see why we need a news section, not why news is posted on the forum. I'm inclined to agree with Spunky, we just went to get rid of all unnecessary sections, but then we went and added this one? Like spunky said, the announcements were perfectly fine for distributing news to the forum.

I can see his point of this section beeing to keep the discussion about the news posts on the front page in this section only so they are easier to find.

Amen . I'll to be easier for people to search for news, discuss them and to check out previous news and comments for them as well. I truly don't see why you people have all the news in 1 thread. Do you have any idea how confusing that is? Besides, 1 more section (this one) is not that bad. I'd like to keep order of all the news.
