esf Islands crash

Ok I got a weird problem... For some reason whenever I join a game thats playing the map esf Islands or the server switches to that map, my sound freezes and HL crashes to windows where I'm forced to restart or listen to the ever repeating last second of sound forever. Now dont tell me to reinstall esf because i did that along with hl after ruing norton diskdoc windoc and speedisk and it still crashes every time I see that cursed map.

Any ideas.

(oh and mods if this has been asked befor I'm sorry I did a search but came up with nothing.)

Sounds like you've got a corrupted map file. You may want to reinstall ESF.

i have it when i create it to!!!!!!!!
even when i'm playing direct 3d.(with software it always crash)
and i reinstalled it thousand times!!!!!!!!
doesn't work.

Did you dl it from somewhere else and then reinstalled it?

no but it was working untill only recently.

maybe it is an accursed virus or varient of a virus

no i dont think its a virus, I dont think there would be a virus that would only cause this problem.

oh and also I had this same problem back in beta 1.0 but i fixed it with a compleat reinstall of hl and esf. reinstallin esf wasnt enough to get rid of it.
