esf dedicated server

hey guys, i searched if anybody had this problem but i guess im the first. i downloaded esf dedicated server 1.2 i launch it, try to go to my own server but i get that dll error "your .dll [cl_dlls/client.dll] differs from the server's " i don't get it, is it becuz the dedicated server i downloaded is out dated? thanks in advanced!!

For some reason i don't believe you are using Steam, now are you? You are required to download & install steam. If you don't have a valid copy of the game, you won't get much further. This Sticky Thread will help you further with steam and installing Earth Special Forces.

Are you using 1.2?

Or are you using 1.2.3?

Usually you dont get that message unless the servers are running a different version of the game.

It just means you have a difrent version than the server is running. ^^
